Zengarra contacted us in 2007, further to one of UntangleMyWeb.com’s online marketing workshop. Their website wasn’t doing their magnificient couple’s getaway any favour. It was dated and required Dreamweaver to update.

Online Strategy for Tourism

• To keep costs low, we advised Mike to choose a website template from TemplateMonster.com which we adapted (have you seen the keyboard as a menu). Straight away, the client saved $2,000!

• We developed a brand new site, and installed our favourite content management system for small businesses: Silverstripe
• We conducted an in-depth keyword analysis which lead to the site being picked up by search engines for keywords such as “romantic getaway near Brisbane”.
• We developed an inbound links strategy
• We helped Mike with doing PDF's for his site such as the ones you can download on the Bushwalk’s pages
• We created the hero images which Mike can easily update or change whenever he likes
• We delivered training to Zengarra on writing for their target market, TripAdvisor, Google maps and general online marketing basics
• We set up goals in Google Analytics so the owners can track where their conversions are coming from
• We implemented Youtube videos on the site and taught Mike how to create and upload them
• We helped Mike show his beautiful shots to the world by putting them on Flickr and linking straight to the website. And they are now automatically sent from Flickr to Google Maps! Pretty good isn’t it, considering that GoogleMaps.com.au is the most visited Australian travel site.

• 218 total visits from search engines via 151 keywords compared to 50 total visits via 21 keywords with the old site

• the knowledge has been passed from UntangleMyWeb.com to Zengarra and Zengarra is now self-sufficient at understanding Google analytics, Google Maps, TripAdvisor, Flickr and many more web 2.0 tools taylored to tourism
